ROLE OF THE COMMITTEE

The all-volunteer Cockburn Toy Library Committee is made up of members with diverse skills and interests. Committee meetings are held approximately 8 times a year, usually at the premises on a Saturday morning. Meetings usually run for about 1 hour.

 

The Committee works together to ensure the smooth running of the library, as well as continuing to improve our operations. Tasks and duties are discussed and shared to ensure everyone's skills, interests, and strengths are best recognised. The Committee also assists with important occasions, such as:

 

• Stocktake

• Community events

• Promotional activities.

We know everyone is busy, and not everyone has hours to spare. We're not looking for people who can do everything - we're looking for people who can give what they've got. Whether you can help for a few hours, a few months, or somewhere in between, every contribution makes a difference. Short-term support and long-term commitment are both valued and appreciated.

We have roles for all skill levels, experiences, and interests. You don't need to be an expert to get involved. If you're willing to help, we'll support you with the training and guidance you need to learn along the way.
