COMMITTEE MEMBERS

The all volunteer Cockburn Toy Library Committee is made up of members with diverse skills and interests. Committee meetings are held approximately 8 times a year, usually at the premises on a Saturday morning. Meetings usually run for about 1 hour.

 

Each Committee member will be given a copy of Toy Library Manual so that they can familiarise themselves with the operations of the Toy Library. There will also be additional occasions when the Committee is required to assist, for example:

 

  • During stock-take

  • Toy Library community events

  • Assisting with promotional activities.

Heather Barrett

Heather comes from a long line of teachers and librarians with a love of learning and play in their blood. A qualified teacher, Heather has a background in supporting children and young people with diverse educational needs, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to engage with their world in ways that bring them joy. Heather now works in the higher education sector, working with students to continue cultivating curiosity and growth at all ages and stages.
