Atwell Accessible Session Trial
Over the past six weeks, we’ve been trialling additional sessions at our Atwell branch designed to better support families in our community who experience disability, have additional needs, or face barriers to accessing a typical toy library setting. We were hopeful these sessions would become a regular part of our offerings, but unfortunately, due to low attendance and the costs involved, we’re unable to continue them at this time. We truly appreciate those who participated and helped us explore new ways to make our toy library more inclusive.
The Atwell branch will be open for its final weekday sessions on Tuesday 5 August and Tuesday 12 August, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, before returning to Saturday only open sessions.
While this particular initiative is coming to a close, we remain committed to finding ways to better serve all families in our community.
We Need You - Join our Committee & Make a Difference
Our toy library thrives because of the dedication of our volunteer committee—and right now, we need fresh energy and ideas to keep things running smoothly. With our AGM coming up in a few months, we’re calling for nominations for President, Treasurer, and General Committee Members.
Joining the committee is a rewarding way to shape the future of our toy library. You’ll receive plenty of support and guidance, and it’s a great opportunity to make new friends (or bring your own!). Without new committee members, we simply can’t continue to operate and offer the wonderful service our families rely on.

If you’re passionate about play, community, and making a difference, please consider nominating yourself or someone you know. Your ideas and enthusiasm could be just what we need!

Keep Our Toys in Tip-Top Shape

We kindly ask all members to respect the toys borrowed from our library and help keep them in good condition for everyone to enjoy. It's important to supervise children while they play, ensuring toys are not broken or parts lost.
Please clean toys thoroughly before returning them, using a cloth dampened with a pH neutral soap or 2-in-1 cleaner/disinfectant. Avoid submerging toys in water, especially wooden ones, as this can cause damage.
All toys should be thoroughly dry before placing back into their container, to prevent mould.
Sharing responsibility for toy care helps us maintain a high-quality collection for all families to use and enjoy.
