Holiday Period Closure

As the holiday season approaches, we wanted to let you know that our toy library branches will be open for the last session of the year on Saturday December 21st 2024. You’re welcome to borrow toys before this date and keep them over the holiday break. We’ll be reopening on Saturday January 11th 2025, ready to welcome you back in the New Year. We hope you enjoy this special time with your little ones, and we look forward to seeing you in 2025 for more fun and play!

International Volunteer Day

December 5th is the official Thank a Volunteer Day, but and we’d like to take a moment now to express our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful volunteers who make the toy library possible. We want to acknowledge to our dedicated committee members who manage the day-to-day operations, as well as the community volunteers who assist with staffing our sessions, ensuring families can borrow and return toys with ease. Volunteers are truly the heart of Cockburn Toy Library, and we deeply appreciate the time and effort they generously give to our community.

Open Hours Update

We are grateful for your patience as we work towards a more consistent calendar. Starting January 11th 2025, we’re excited to announce that the toy library at Coolbellup will be open every Tuesday and Saturday, while Atwell will continue to open on Saturdays only. To avoid any confusion, we encourage you to check our website or social media before your visit to confirm the hour and dates. Your committee is working hard to reinstate Wednesday sessions soon, and we look forward to sharing those updates with you!

Spotlight on New Toys!

Our toy team made some purchases for the collection during the Black Friday sales, bringing in some fantastic toys that are sure to be a hit! Because these toys will be very popular, you might not see them on the shelves at your next session. Don’t forget that we offer holds for in-demand toys—each family can place a hold on up to two items that are currently out on loan, so you’ll be next in line to borrow them when they become available.
