The Toy Scoop - October 2022 Newsletter

October 2022 Newsletter

Have you seen our little octopus friend around the toy library and on social media? We look forward to officially introducing him at our AGM in November!

Toy Holds

You may have noticed a new PLACE HOLD button when looking at our online SeTLS toy database. If there is a particular toy you have been hanging out to borrow, but it's never in the library when you visit - a hold will put you next in line! Please note that this is only for toys which are out on loan, and the toy will remain reserved for you for 7 days. We are trialling this system, so please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

Teddy Bears Picnic - 19 October 2022

We love spending the day at Teddy Bears Picnic, and this year is no exception. Due to this event, our Atwell branch will be CLOSED on Wednesday 19 October. Any toys due back that day will be extended to the following Wednesday. Our president Renae will be at Manning Park with others to represent our toy library. Click below for more information:

Christmas Mini Photo Sessions

Janine Kuehs Photography is once again offering to put her skills to use as an awesome fundraiser for Cockburn Toy Library. For every photo session booked we receive a 50% donation to the toy library! There are sessions at both Atwell and Coolbellup branches, but they are limited. Click below to book:

AGM - Saturday 26 November

As an incorporated association, we are required to hold an Annual General Meeting every year. We want all our members to attend and help shape the direction of the toy library for 2023. If you have been considering joining our committee please let us know! The AGM will be held at our Atwell branch at 10:00am on 26/11/2022. Amy will once again bring along her reptile friends for entertainment, and provide face painting for the children as well.
